Yoga Freedom Project

Every year, approximately two million women and children are sold into sexual slavery.  Experts estimate that in the US alone around 100,000 children are sold for sex daily.  This is a global crisis and it must be stopped.  Somaly Mam, a Cambodian survivor of sex slavery and modern-day human rights activist, leads rescue operations, shelters and rehabilitates victims, and teaches survivors to be a voice of change in the community.  Through her outreach, powerful story and loving presence, she has opened the eyes of individuals worldwide and initiates a shift in consciousness for everyone she meets.

The Yoga Freedom Project is a month-long initiative and a global awareness campaign. We are looking for leaders in all regions of the country and corners of the globe to organize events and classes, promote the fundraising campaign, and be a voice for this important cause!  On January 31st in NYC, Practice for Freedom will feature Elena Brower, Dana Flynn, Jodie Rufty, Cyndi Lee, Alan Finger, Sri Dharma Mittra, Sierra Bender and more!
